Flaming Lips-Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots-
もう、今年も終わりそうです。
気づけば、いつのまにか日本ではAKB48がテレビを賑わせ、インターネットの時代とはいえ、やっぱりマスコミの力はすごいなぁと、いろいろ考えさせられるわけです。戦略的な誘導がニュースの世界にも起きていたりするんだろうから、怖い。しっかり情報を整理して、偏った見方をせず、きちんと判断できているかな、とふと思う今日この頃です。
今年は引越しやらなにやらでバタバタしており、音楽情報の収集もあまりできず、このブログも休業状態でしたが、これではイカンと思い、3ヶ月ぶりに更新することにしました。
今まさに来日中のFlaming Lips。彼らのスーパーハッピーなギグをまさに明日見られるということで、久しぶりにテンションが上がっております。名作ぞろいの彼らの作品の中でも、私が一番好きなこのアルバムについて少しだけ。
優しい気持ちでいっぱいになれる本作は、私がフレイミングリップスをはじめて知った作品でもあります。グッとくる名曲ばかりですが、個人的には2曲目のOne More Robotに一番グッとくるかも。メロディックなベースラインがたまらないし、歌詞も好きです。そしてSympathy 3000-21からYoshimiへの流れはいうことなし。ストーリー性が強く切なく優しい気持ちにさせてくれる傑作です。ウェインのおっちゃん、歌が結構下手やのに、生で聴いたらとても感動できたなぁ。やっぱりライブパフォーマンスは、うまいへたではないと、去年のサマソニを思い出してみます。あの透明ボールに踏まれたいので、明日は前の方にいけるといいな。とにかく日ごろのストレスを全部忘れて幸せに浸ってきます！あ、ちなみにMEWもかなり楽しみです。
